On Friday 28th January 2022, Volleyball St Lucia held its very first meeting with FIVB Coach Augusto Sabbatini, since his arrival in St Lucia.

Present were Volleyball St Lucia President Shayne Felicien, FIVB Coach Augusto Sabbatini, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Catherine Spooner, Administrative Assistant Chloe Daniel and Special Liaison for FIVB Coach Emmy Vitalis.

This program is part of FIVB’s Volleyball Empowerment Program and is designed to improve the technical and strategic development of its member national federation. Coach Sabbatini will meet with national coaches to review their development programs and assist in the developmental strategies. This program will last for a period of six months in the first instance. This development program will also see the FIVB Coach working with school teams to improve their level of play.

Volleyball St Lucia looks forward to achieving its planned goal with FIVB Coach Augusto Sabbatini and will continue to work hard for the development of the sport in the island
