New Volleyball Court in Dennery

Volleyball St Lucia (VSL) in collaboration with M&C Group of Companies and the Minister of Youth Development Mr. Edmund Estephane donated a new court to the Dennery Infant School. The ceremony took place on Monday 10th 2020 on the school’s premises.
Ms. Vanness Chance (Marketing Manager of M&C) expressed how happy they are to partner with this venture and the opportunity to give back to the community.
The donation is in keeping with their mantra of sports development and ensuring that all young persons are given the chance to partake in physical activities; thus fostering healthier habits.
The principle Ms Flavien expressed her elation at this donation and articulated that this court would be a way to keep children active and interested in the sport. She endeavors to see many more young Volleyballers from the district of Dennery and quite possibly a national players.
Tigers Volleyball Club

The southern town of the island can call itself home to a newly formed club. Tigers Volleyball Club seeks to re-ignite the flames of volleyball enthusiast in the south.
With its Motto: “Teamwork, Unity and common goal, working together to build a better community”. Tigers Volleyball Club hopes to usher a new era to the sport on the island.
Training days are Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Vieux-Fort Multipurpose Court from 5 pm.
Tevin St. Jean Joins Filippos Veroias

The Greek adventure continues for soufriere’s most outstanding athletes , as Tevin Ferrel StJean has been signed by Filippos for 2020-2021 season . Last having played with Elpida Ampelokipi in the Greek League,the soon-to-be 25 year old St.lucian international has also precviously been named a memeber of Iraklis Chalkidas,Panachaiki,and AE Komotini.
Levi Leonce Named 2019-20 Scholar-Athlete

Levi Leonce of Castries, ST LUCIA, has been named a 2019-20 scholar-athlete by the Heart of America Athletic Conference for exceptional academic achievements at Graceland University.
In order to qualify for this honour a student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
Have a minimum of 60 accumulated credit hours.
Have completed at least five semesters of college and attended the norminating institution for at least two semesters prior to being norminated.
Have documented participation in a varsity competition in the sport of which they are being nominated.
Levi is majoring in Business Administration and participated in men’s volleyball during the 2019-20 season.
Volleyball St. Lucia Continues its Support for West Coast Volleyball

President Shayne Felicien along with members of our Marketing and Communications Team provided Anse La Raye Beach Volleyballers with two nets and balls to continue the good work which they have been doing in promoting volleyball in Anse La Raye .
Jah Marcus Edwards, one of the founding members of West Coast Volleyball was on hand to receive the donation. Jah Marcus, aka Mr Edwards, thanked Volleyball St. Lucia for their continued support and interest in keeping the sport alive in Anse La Raye.
West Coast Volleyball game sessions are six days a week from 5pm in Anse La Raye.

Return to Action Volleyball Series
Volleyball St. Lucia hosted it’s first tournament since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic in 2019. Under the theme ” A Return to Action”. The bubble invitational tournament at the Dennery National Outdoor training facility took place on Saturday 14th August 2021. A player only event, in keeping with national Covid protocols. This tournament saw teams from around the island participating in this one day round robin tournament.
Volleyball St. Lucia Inc hopes that the incoming series of tournaments encourages players and potential players to participate in the Sport of Volleyball
3 X 3 MIXED BEACH INVITATIONAL
October 30th witnessed Volleyball St. Lucia hosting its 2nd activity in its “ Return To Action” series. A 3X3 invitational Tournament.
Held at the picturesque Cul De Sac Bay. This event featured seasoned players and neophytes male and female teaming up to play the sport they love.
The tournament was a first for numerous players including West Coast Volleyball players from Anse La Raye and Tigers Volleyball from Vieux Fort.
Volleyball St. Lucia continues to add new venues and new tournaments, capturing the excitement of all players.
Volleyball St Lucia Continues its support for School Affiliates

On Tuesday 23rd November 2021, Volleyball St Lucia kicked started
its school affiliate program with a donation of balls to
the Vieux-Fort Secondary School.
On hand for the presentation were, Ms Chloe Daniel , Ms Vernelle Jacob,
representatives of Volleyball St Lucia and School PE teachers. According to
Acting Principal Ava Philips. ” Vieux-fort Seconadry School plans to
work closely with all sporting disciplines, especially volleyball to develop
a new cadre of Athletes for the future.”
Volleyball St Lucia Continues its Support for Schools

As part of its mandate to decentralize the sport of Volleyball, Volleyball St. Lucia’s President Shayne Felicien on 3rd December 2021, donated volleyballs to the Anse La Raye Infant & Primary Schools. Mr. Felicien VSL hopes that this gesture encourages the next generation of volleyballers. Anse La Raye has come under our focus and our initiative is to bring beach games to the district.

First Southern Training Grounds

The construction of a National Volleyball training site in the south of the island,came about due to the need to provide southern volleyball athletes with a world class training surface in safe and comfortable surroundings.
In 2019 the Post Secondary School under the guidance of Ms. Sharon Persaud agreed to house Volleyball St Lucia with the goal of having the students having a balanced school experience with academics and sports.
Today three years later Volleyball St Lucia and Post Secondary School embark on another collaborative venture. The establishment of a national volleyball training site.
