VOLLEYBALL ST. LUCIA RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM THE SAINT LUCIA OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

October 7th, 2022 The Saint Lucia Olympic Committee in its commitement to assisting sporting organizations growth and development made a sizeable donation towards the transportation cost for the Senior national team’s journey to compete in the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association Senoir Women’s Tournament being held in Phillipsburg, St. Maarten. LABORIE GIRLS DONATION

Monday 2nd January 2023, Representatives of Volleyball St. Lucia and Phoenix Volleyball Club came together in donating a sports floor surface to the Laborie R.C Girls School. Harry Jn Baptiste President of Phoenix Volleyball and originator of the idea, stated this would help our young ladies in the community practice sports on a safe surface. We hope to take the sport of Volleyball into every school in the south of the island and no where better to start than at home.

On hand to assist with the laying of the sports surface was President of Volleyball St Lucia Shayne Felicien, Treasurer Manda Simon, Assistant Secretary Bernice Evans, Emmy Vitalis, Sherry and Trisha Charles of Phoenix Volleyball Club.

Following the successful hosting of ECVA Senior Beach Tournament, Volleyball St Lucia is pleased to announce the composition of its New Beach Commission;

Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Beach Tour came to an enthralling close during Saint Lucia’s Independence week of activity.

Teams as far as Bermuda, Antigua and Barbuda, St.Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Dominica and neighbouring island of St.Vincent battled against Team Saint Lucia for podium finishes in the inaugural beach tour games held in the island.

Team Saint Lucia prevailed in both Men and Women sections of the draw, with Joseph Clercent and Sheldon Descartes winning the men’s draw and Chenoa Evans and Denila Prospere claiming the top spot in the women’s draw.

Team Saint Lucia now sets their sights on the upcoming NORCECA Beach Tour.

Volleyball St Lucia (VSL) Launches its Inaugural Beach Volleyball Leagues

Sunday 20th August 2023 sees the birth of VSL Beach volleyball league. Teams and Clubs are battle to determine VSL ultimate beach team and Beach Club.

The Beach League format features four (4) tournaments spread throughout the year, whereby teams get opportunities to expose their beach players to local competition. In this format teams emerging with the most points after the first two editions represent Saint Lucia at premier club tournament in neighbouring Island Martinique.

**Teams can be composed of any players from Any clubs.

** Points towards the Club Championship can only be earned by participants representing the same club.
